About Christiana Care Health System
Christiana Care Health System is a not-for-profit, research-based teaching hospital, recognized as a regional center for excellence in cardiology, cancer and women's health services, the only Level I trauma center between Philadelphia and Baltimore and is a Level 3 neonatal intensive care (both levels reflecting the highest capability). Christiana Care features two hospitals with over 1,100 patient beds, and ranks 16th in admissions among all hospitals in the country. Christiana Care offers a home health care service, preventive medicine & rehabilitation services, a network of primary care physicians and an extensive range of outpatient services.
Christiana Care is a founding member of the Delaware Health Sciences Alliance. The alliance enables partner organizations to conduct cutting-edge biomedical research, to improve the health of Delawareans through access to services in the state and region, and to educate the next generation of health care professionals.
